Profit by job

Real profitability
An estimate is the starting plan. ActualCost uses recorded billings and actual job costs to show the current real result.
Real profit = Total billed value − Total actual cost
Quantities, working methods and scope can change during construction. The estimate remains useful as the original budget, but it cannot show final profitability by itself. ActualCost keeps estimated values visible while using billings and recorded costs for the real result.

Combine the billed and actual values of all jobs into the current project result.
Add more than one billing to the same job; the billed labour, material and subcontractor values accumulate.
Keep the initial estimate available for learning and future pricing without treating it as revenue received.
